Briny chronicles
The increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has led to an increase of carbon dioxide in the waters of the oceans, which results in a decrease of pH and the subsequent dissolution of calcium carbonate structures such as shells and molluscs, plankton and corals. As a result, the variety of shapes and colours of these natural structures has been replaced by translucent, ghostly outlines.
